Getting Enrolled in Health Coverage
Health coverage options are typically determined during Open Enrollment (Nov 1 – Dec 15) when we meet with all members to activate or renew their HAAM memberships. If you are currently without a health coverage, please contact HAAM Musician Services (512-541-4226, option 2) to discuss your coverage options. In special circumstances, it may be possible to obtain health coverage outside of the Open Enrollment window.
Using Your Marketplace Insurance Plan

Important Notice to HAAM Members Enrolled in Marketplace Insurance Plans HAAM is aware that some fraudulent health insurance agents and brokers have switched community members' health insurance plans without insured people's knowledge or consent. Sketchy agents or brokers will do that because some health insurance companies will pay them for enrolling people into those companies' plans. If you suspect the plan you chose during Open Enrollment is not the one you are enrolled in now, please contact HAAM Member Service’s team immediately at support@myhaam.org. Be cautious when engaging online or over the phone in regards to insurance products. It can be seemingly easy for insurance brokers to switch plans, as the only information needed to change your plan is your name, date of birth and state you live in. HAAM recommends you do not fill out any forms online or respond to phone calls about your insurance plan unless you are working directly with a staff member from HAAM, Foundation Communities and/or your insurance company. If you have questions about your insurance, please reach out! At this time, we believe the majority of HAAM members have not been impacted, and we are monitoring the situation. HAAM and Foundation Communities systems are not breached. This agent/broker fraud is a national issue, outside of our organization. Telehealth Services: Aetna offers FREE virtual care 24/7 through MinuteClinic Virtual Care. Aetna also participates with the CVS Minute Clinic (nationwide locations).
