What Happens if I Missed Open Enrollment?

Although Open Enrollment has ended, musicians are still able to join HAAM year-round! Our Musician Services team is available to help you navigate health coverage options and get you connected to HAAM Programs (dental, hearing, vision, fitness & mind + body).

If you are new to HAAM, please click here to view our membership criteria and request an application.

Renewing HAAM musicians can reach out to the HAAM Musician Services team at 512-541-4226 or send an email to support@myhaam.org to start the renewal process.

What is HAAM Open Enrollment?

Open Enrollment is a one-stop shop for musicians to apply for or renew HAAM membership and get ACA Marketplace insurance for 2024. Enrolling or renewing during Open Enrollment (Nov 1 - Jan 16) ensures that you can:

  • enroll in health insurance coverage through the ACA Marketplace (a.k.a. Healthcare.gov or “Obamacare”)

  • get help paying for your Marketplace insurance premiums each month through HAAM’s Premium Assistance Program, if you are eligible and funds are available

  • access HAAM’s Dental, Hearing, Vision, and Wellness programs in 2024

HAAM members must renew their membership each year to have continued access to HAAM programs, even those with health coverage through an employer, spouse, or parent or who are enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, or are receiving VA benefits.

Remember - HAAM is not insurance! HAAM helps musicians access insurance coverage through the ACA Marketplace (a.k.a. Healthcare.gov or “Obamacare”) and offers help paying for that coverage through the HAAM Premium Assistance Program. If you do not enroll during Open Enrollment, you may not be able to enroll in ACA Marketplace coverage without a Special Enrollment Period and HAAM Premium Assistance may not be available.

Don’t miss your chance to enroll or renew, get insurance coverage, and have peace of mind in case of emergency or illness!
