A native Houstonian and High School for the Performing and Visual Arts alumnus, Kevin Lovejoy is a pianist, keyboardist, composer, and producer who studied with Mary Norris at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, and Ellis Marsalis at the University of New Orleans. He has toured extensively with Fastball, Spoon, Michelle Branch, Daniel Powter, and John Mayer. In addition to countless studio credits, he arranged and produced Kat Edmonson’s debut album, co-wrote her hit song “Lucky”, and continues to lead the Kevin Lovejoy Trio with bassist Sam Pankey and drummer Daniel Dufour.

Lex Land is a songwriter, vocalist, and storyteller on a mission to educate, inspire and delight audiences through early 20th-century music. By performing fresh renditions of traditional repertoire, as well as lovingly crafting original compositions in the “standards” style, Lex puts a new spin on songs of old. Forging humble beginnings as a west-coast indie folk artist, she achieved early acclaim with her first studio albums, featuring songs that would later be heard on major network programs such as Castle, Pretty Little Liars and Bones. Since relocating to Austin in 2009, she's independently released a dozen albums and EPs, toured the US, performed in professional music theatre productions, and was a featured contestant on Season 2 of NBC’s hit show The Voice. With an eclectic musical vocabulary and a charming voice reminiscent of yesteryear's treasured crooners, Lex combines elements of swing, folk, cabaret, and thoughtful acoustic pop in a way you've never heard before.

Lex and Kevin have been collaborators and close friends for more than a decade, and are joining forces today to perform a special collection of songs. You'll hear several of their original compositions alongside some favorites from some of the greatest songwriters of the 20th Century.
