We are a mostly two piece, all original band hailing from Austin, Tx. by way of the Midwest. Our sound could best be described as Cowboy Lounge Dream Pop..ranging from Southwestern instrumental soundscapes to a straight up Murder Ballad. Having had residencies at local favorites Hole in the Wall and Still Austin Whiskey, The Discount Pills are in it for the long haul. A husband and wife duo that have totally different tastes in music that somehow overlap..we hope to create a mood and maybe evoke some emotions... from early morning bicycle rides to orange desert sunsets.
