ABOUT

HAAM Day brings all of Austin together each year to sing praise for keeping our musicians alive and well. Austin businesses and music venues host over 200 performances from local musicians all over the city and donate a portion of their daily sales to support HAAM. Our biggest fundraiser, HAAM Day lets customers, businesses and music lovers across Austin do their part to help Austin musicians and feel the satisfaction of contributing to an important piece of the fabric of the city. On HAAM Day 2018, we beat our goal of raising $565,000. After the success of his nightclub founded in 1975, Clifford Antone opened the doors to Antone's Record Shop across the street in the summer of 1987. The legendary Continental Club opened its doors in 1955 and celebrates over 60 years as one the oldest continuously running clubs in all of Austin. Rock, country, jazz & blues acts, national & local, are found at this legendary South Congress club.
Counter Culture offers meatless, dairy-free and raw foods – made from scratch – and offered at remarkably affordable prices. Scott Collins has been at the forefront of the local Austin, TX music scene including KUTX 98.9’s ‘Austin Music Minute’ with Laurie Gallardo, performing at the stations notable Studio 1A, and a "Song Of The Day" pick by DJ Jack Anderson as well as appearances on multiple local TV networks. Collins has spent the last 2 years touring the United States in promotion of recent EP releases while recently being honored by Austin's Mayor Steve Adler proclaiming January 31st, 2019 as "Official Scott Collins Day."

El Chilito was born as a fast-casual approach to El Chile, a contemporary take on modern Tex-Mex dining located just a few blocks west on Manor Rd. Dubbed El Chile’s “little brother,” El Chilito, uses many of the same flavors, but in a more laid-back atmosphere and lot of local charm. The School of Rock House Band music program gives students under 18 the opportunity to join a gigging band composed of fellow musicians from their school. These students perform additional live shows throughout the year. All students in the Performance Program have the opportunity to audition for a spot in their school's House Band. Once selected, House Band members become leaders in their School of Rock community and perform live shows at local rock venues throughout the year.

The minor Keys are Anna Zavelson and Joey Painter. Friends since kindergarten the duo began performing together at age 9 and have grown and developed their talents. The have played across Austin from 6th Street bars and Lake venues to packed hotel ballrooms, including SXSW shows and HAAM Day performances over the last 6 years. They perform and eclectic mix or original songs and classic covers.
