Trio Los Vigilantes is an Austin-based musical group whose mission for the past 25 years has been to preserve the Mexican trio tradition. When they perform, their goal is to recreate the romantic sound of La Época de Oro, the golden age of Latin American music and cinema in the 1950's. Los Vigilantes is one of the few groups remaining today that sing these classic songs in the tradition of the trios of old. Members include musical director Isaac Peña, singer and guitarist Luis Ángel Ibáñez, and cellist, vocalist and John Pointer.
