A composer and bandleader who plays trumpet and flugelhorn, Ephraim Owens is known for his lyricism, a bright buttery tone, and a drop-of-the-hat eagerness to sit in with non-jazz outfits. He’s performed with Erykah Badu, DJ Logic, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and Roy Hargrove, among many others, and currently blows horn with his eponymous bands.
