Big Wy's Brass Band has played in Austin for 10+ years. The band started as a group of high school band students wanting to jam and has since gone on to play at International jazz festivals in Guatemala and Costa Rica, iconic Austin venues such as the Continental Club and Antone's, and won "Best Horns" at the 2020 and 2023 Austin Music Awards. The band is known to bring a party wherever they perform and rock the crowd with their on-stage antics and bombastic energy. The band has played seminal Austin events such as SXSW, The COTA Grand Prix, Hot Summer Nights, TEDx Youth Austin, Pecan Street Festival, The Moody Amphitheatre Creek Show, The Trail of Lights and more! The band has also collaborated with Austin artists such as Night Cap, Grandmaster, Ben Buck, and Los Coast on tracks as well! In 2024 the band achieved viral success with their Tiktok and Instagram reels and released their debut album "Built to Last" to rave reviews from critics and fans alike!
