Alongside their efforts as a label, Austin Boogie Crew has operated as a DJ collective for 12 years. The crew is comprised of resident DJs Chicken George, Chorizo Funk, Spence, Danbone, Cyrus D, & Ghost. In 2011, founder Danny Spence launched The Boogie, a monthly dance party in Austin, TX. Since then it’s become a monthly institution in the Texas capital, attracting diverse crowds eager to dance to the lineage of 80’s Funk: Boogie, Disco, House, R&B, Hip-Hop, Electro, Synth Pop, and more. The records are all played on vinyl with love. In 2017, The Boogie became a dual city party with the launch of the Los Angeles branch, hosting acts like Cut Chemist and DJ Rhetmattic of the Beat Junkies. Over the years, ABC has provided opening support for acts like Tuxedo, Dâm-Funk, and George Clinton.
