Under The Rock is an innovative new series showcasing acoustic performances from top-level local artists. Facilitated by Aaron Rochlen, a Professor, Psychologist, & self-proclaimed “strangely connected music guy,” each concert features a though provoking discussion of the lyrics & song origins. An award-winning presenter, “Doc Rock” frequently uses music in his courses & clinical work.

The West Texas Exiles are one of the hottest bands in the ATX. Recent performances include SXSW, AmericanaFest, Hardly Strictly Festival, & various iconic Austin venues (e.g., Continental Club, Saxon, Antones). Musical influences include the Flatlanders, Buddy Holly, Vampire Weekend, & Jason Isbell. With intriguing storylines from each band member, a look “Inside the Exiles” provides an ideal & introspective start for this creative program.
