From November 2nd to 6th, the iconic Antone's, renowned as Austin's Home of the Blues, will play host to the captivating "Instrumenthead Invasion" art exhibition by the esteemed rock-n-roll photographer Michael Weintrob. With a prolific career spanning over two decades, Weintrob has masterfully captured the essence of over 800 musicians, both on stage and behind the scenes.
The exhibition, a celebration of Austin's rich musical tapestry, will showcase a curated collection of portraits featuring local artists, immersing attendees in the vibrant music culture of the city. Open to the public each evening from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, this immersive experience promises to be a highlight for both music enthusiasts and art connoisseurs.
The gallery will feature hundreds of prints, including selections from the groundbreaking "Instrumenthead" and "Instrumenthead Revealed" coffee table books. Enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to acquire an array of merchandise, including t-shirts, hats, postcards, and other exclusive items.
In the spirit of giving back to the community that has inspired countless musicians and artists, a percentage of the exhibition's gross sales will be dedicated to supporting the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM). This partnership reflects the event's commitment to nurturing and sustaining the local arts scene.
