HISTORY

Since 2008, HAAM's annual Corporate Battle of the Bands has raised over half a million dollars to help keep Austin's musicians healthy and rocking out. The brainchild of Tim Taylor, Dan Donally, and Keith Donahoe, Corporate Battle of the Bands was originally held at Antone's and quickly became a signature event. As HAAM grew, the event moved to the Moody Theater at ACL Live, where it has been held since 2014.

Transistor Troubadours – Intel

The Transistor Troubadors is a jam-worthy seven-piece band that blends country, bluegrass, and rock’n’roll. Kyle Durand, Rashmi Vijayaprasad, Vani Chandrasekharan, Joe Cramer, Jim Williamson, Sam Oyetunji, Gian Gerosa make up this rockin’ group that’s sure to get you moving.

The WailSharks – RetailMeNot

The WailSharks pay homage to RetailMeNot's predecessor, WhaleShark Media, but hold true to the values of RMN today: driving transparency, value, tenacity, analytical decision making, innovation, and diversity and inclusion. The WailSharks pride themselves on variety and diversity--if they like it, they play it; the music is as diverse as the band.

9:27PM | RetailMeNot

The Stray Bullets – Seton Healthcare

Delighting crowds with bluegrass-infused acoustic Americana, The Stray Bullets play for the love of playing music. The group performs covers of the Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, and more, while also performing originals such as “Dead Reckoning,” "(Fallin Down) the Devil's Door,” and “Leftovers.”

10:33PM | Seton Healthcare

The Mag Stripes – NetSpend

The Mag Stripes are NetSpend’s rock and roll band, covering classics including songs from Jimi Hendrix, Bonnie Raitt, John Prince, Jefferson Airplane, and The Clash. This group loves performing and it shows.

7:59PM | Netspend

P1 – athenahealth

The members of P1 are all colleagues at athenahealth, a motley collection of product managers, designers, and programmers who love to play music. P1 is inspired by a wide range of styles, from Bangladeshi rock to Modest Mouse to A Tribe Called Quest. Abdullah shreds on guitar, brothers Bandon and Ryan rock vocals, Rose punishes keyboards, Tony pounds bass, Zach thunders the drums, and Jacob slays guitar and scratch-pad.

OS Beat – OpenSymmetry

OS Beat is made up of equal parts talent, energy, and grilled cheese. United in purpose--winning the HAAM Corporate Battle of the Bands--and bonded by musical tastes that range from mainstream to Scandinavian metal, this newly-formed band does to classic rock what Nutella does for toast. That is, makes it mind-blowingly awesome.

7:15PM | Open Symmetry

Knuckle Sammich – H-E-B

Since it's formation in 2009, the name "Knuckle Sammich" has become synonymous with "unlikely mix of HEB co-workers who play listenable music on occasion." Starting out as an outlet to share stories of their exemplary customer service skills, the band as since endured internal power struggles, bloody fist fights and unspeakable name calling to become what is today...a semi-likeable rock band with no message whatsoever.

9:49PM | H-E-B

Kings of the Night Time World – Wenzel Spine

Born out of the lights, explosions and fire breathing awesomeness of arena rock, Kings of the Night Time World pays tribute to the rock n' roll gods playing their favorite songs from an era when arena rock rules the airways and stadiums of the world. The face melting begins when Chad Neely, Jason Lewis, Dave Donovan, Steven Six, and Chris Peters take the stage.

9:05PM | Wenzel Spine
