WHOLE FOODS RETURNS AS PRESENTING SPONSOR OF HAAM BENEFIT DAY 2014
The 9th Annual HAAM Benefit Day presented by Whole Foods Market
returns on Tuesday, September 23. Each year HAAM Benefit Day brings
hundreds of musical acts to local businesses around Austin to support
HAAM and celebrate the amazing music of our community. The day has
become one no music lover should miss!

This is HAAM’s biggest fundraiser of the year and we need your
support more than ever!  Please consider supporting HAAM by becoming
a corporate sponsor or by  giving 5% of the day’s proceeds from your
business.  If those don’t work for you, you could also consider
making an individual donation or volunteering as a HAAMbassador.
See below to  find out all the ways you can participate.

Mark your calendars for September 23, and visit www.myhaam.org/hdb
for more information on sponsoring businesses, music line ups and all
the ways you can get involved.

When does 5% make a 100% difference? When local businesses sign up
for HAAM Benefit Day! Contact HAAM Director of Development
Christopher Alberts at calberts@myhaam.org with any questions or for
help signing up.

IS HAAM STILL NEEDED NOW THAT THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT  IS HERE?
HAAM is not going away – we still need your support!   Even though
the  Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA) or what some folks call
Obamacare, was put into place in January, nearly 66% of HAAM
musicians  still do not qualify for a health insurance subsides;
meaning insurance remains unaffordable for nearly 2/3 of our clients.
For those that can afford insurance, HAAM will still provide gap
coverage for services such as Dental, Hearing, Vision and Wellness
benefits not covered by their plans. In short, HAAM will continue to
serve more than 2,000 musicians currently on our rosters so that they
may continue to be a cultural and economic driver for Austin.   So
your support of HAAM remains as important as ever.

TEXAS MUSIC WATER: THE OFFICIAL H2O OF HAAM!
Produced and purified in Texas, Texas Music Water is committed to
keeping folks hydrated and energized whether they’re on stage or in
the crowd.

Texas Music water is a true champion of the music community and
Health Alliance for Austin Musicians. For every case sold, Texas
Music Water donates money to both HAAM and SIMS, not to mention the
pallets upon pallets of water they donate to keep HAAM volunteers and
supporters hydrated at our many events through out the year.

When Dean Wolfe walked into the HAAM offices close to three years ago
he vowed to become one of HAAM’s biggest donors. He is well on his
way to keeping that promise with Texas Music Water now being sold
everywhere from HEB to the W Hotel.  Thanks Dean!

KEITH DONAHOE: HAAM BENEFIT DAY CHAMPION EXTRAORDINAIRE
Keith Donahoe returns for the second consecutive year as the Chair of
HAAM Benefit Day and HAAM could not be more grateful. On top of
leading the charge for HAAM’s biggest fundraising event, Keith is a
HAAM Board Member and and avid music fan!

“I love being a part of HAAM Benefit Day (HBD) because this is a time
for businesses, and music fans alike to come together all over Austin
and show support for one of Austin’s most valuable assets – our
musicians who contribute so much to our community both culturally and
economically.   By supporting HBD, you are making sure that low
-income, uninsured Austin musicians have access to much needed
healthcare services.”

Growing up in Central Texas, some of Keith’s fondest memories were
sneaking into famed Austin music spots to catch the talented local
musicians that would help form his life long love of music.

As Executive Vice President at Frost Bank, Keith is actively involved
in the community and is an amazing ambassador for both HAAM and
Frost. Thank you Keith for all you do to support Austin and Austin
musicians!
